I always found an excuse to go to the grocery on
Wednesday. The new checkout girl was the cutest girl I’d ever seen. I always
got in her line, but hardly looked her in the eyes even. That changed today; oh
boy did it change.
“How are you today?” she asked me.
“I’m great. I’m doing great,” I replied. I shuffled
nervously for a moment after, not knowing what to say, then said
“How are you?”
“I’m great, thanks,” she said without looking up from
packing.
“Can you take I out sometime?” I asked. I mentally face
palmed after that.
