100 Words a Day 788


I’ll never get used to walking from the overside to the underside. It begins when you approach the edge of the overside and look down. You can see the undersides of the other continents below you, and empty space. After steeling yourself, you step out and yourself fall forward. An instant of free fall followed by your foot, and the rest of you, being yanked onto the underside and sending your stomach all over the place. First time that happened to me I vomited. I got to watching it hover in the air, suspended between each side of the continent.
