The great circular structure crumbled even as I looked at
it, as though my mere gaze put enough pressure on the old stone that they
should topple from their lofty perch. I marveled at the engineering prowess of
the unknown builders, to build something that outlived not only their own civilization,
but their very race. Standing at the foundation of the building, I tilted my
head back until the back was touching the base of my neck and was still unable
to see the top. I took a dizzy step back, tripped over a rock and gave a startled
exclamation.
