“This is it,” Cassandra said in awe, feeling the smooth
stone of the ancient sarcophagus.
The coffin was made of obsidian, carved all over with the
infernal language of the priest caste that once ruled over the dead city. It
was longer than the tallest man they had ever seen. And if Cassandra was
correct, the occupant of the sarcophagus was called Ostrogoth the Slight. The effigy
that adorned the massive lid showed a stern man with alien features. His overly
large mouth has downturned, as though he knew the designs the invaders of his
tomb had upon his secrets.
