The traffic made it hard to hear.
“What? Can you say that again?”
“What? Can you say that again?”
“I said: I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“I don’t see another choice,” Jas responded, shrugging.
A loud truck horn paused the conversation.
“There must be another way.”
Jas tilted his head slowly from side to side, “We already
tried everything we can think of.”
Skaggs pursed his lips and creased his brow. He was
silent until the car rattled across a rough patch in the road.
“I think I have an idea.”
Jas lifted his eyebrows, waiting.
“There is an option we haven’t considered yet.”
