The diminutive spider-herder drove the large arachnids
out of the stone pen using a long whip. The sound of it cracking over their
heads made them uncomfortable, causing them to scuttle into the open. Several
other goblins stood outside with whips of their own, to keep the spiders
moving. None of their green skin was visible. It was covered by tough leather
made from something called a cao, a large quadrupedal animal they herded on the
upper side of the continent. The goblins needed the protection against the hair
on the spiders’ legs, which was abrasive enough to shred flesh.
