“This is it,” Cassandra said in awe, feeling the smooth stone of the ancient sarcophagus.


The coffin was made of obsidian, carved all over with the infernal language of the priest caste that once ruled over the dead city. It was longer than the tallest man they had ever seen. And if Cassandra was correct, the occupant of the sarcophagus was called Ostrogoth the Slight. The effigy that adorned the massive lid showed a stern man with alien features. His overly large mouth has downturned, as though he knew the designs the invaders of his tomb had upon his secrets.
