Everyone instinctively gave the elf a wide berth. It wasn’t
your typical settlement elf that carried such a well-crafted sword adorned with
sparkling jewels; this one knew how to how to keep what was hers. And in this
land, that meant fighting. She wore fighting leathers, except for her head
which was protected by a steel cap. Her boots made no sound on the cobblestone
road, whether by magic or skill none were able to say, and none wanted to find
out. A squat, nondescript house was her destination. She knocked once and was
admitted without preamble, as though expected.
