Omar pulled the car over. He and Chris got out and practically
fell onto the sidewalk. The sun warmed pleasantly them while the cool breeze
brought the fresh smell of water from the bay. They were done with their last
set of exams, forever, and the wonderful weather made them relax further into
the cement.
Once the elation waned to a warm glow, they drove to La
Corneta, their favorite burrito restaurant. Unable to stop smiling, they
splurged on Mexican cokes and ate with the excess of the suddenly stress-free.
Lethargy of satiation overcame them shortly after they finished eating.
