“What are you talking about?”
“Susurrate, what the hell kind of word is that?”
“First off, it comes from Spanish. It means to whisper.
Second, it’s got some good S sounds. Third, have you ever heard the noise trees
make? It’s like a hiss, but not exactly. So really, susurrate is a great
choice.”
“Pre-tentious.”
“It’s not my fault you have the same level of vocabulary
as your students.”
“But it is your fault that you pick big words that people
don’t know.”
“I just have a big vocab. I read a lot.”
