100 Words a Day 812

When I felt us bobbing, I threw down my tools and sprinted towards the ladder. We’d managed to surface the submarine, along with whatever had wrapped around it. I climbed as fast as I could, the ship creaking as though we had passed crush depth. As I ascended the last ladder, I could see the blue sky above me. On deck, I saw several giant tentacles were wrapped around the ship. The tips crawled across the deck, their suckers searching for something to drag back into the depths. A three of my fellow crewmen were swimming away from the ship.
