He swiped his debit card in the reader and pulled on the
door handle. Nothing happened. Sighing in frustration he tried it again. When
it didn’t work, he realized that the card reader required an unintuitive card
position.
He didn’t understand that. Why were all the other readers
set up one way, then the one used to access ATM doors was set up a different
way?
He didn’t give it much thought beyond that though. He was
thinking about what he was going to do with the money he took out. It was a
Friday and he’d just gotten paid.
