100 Words a Day 151

He looked at the statue of Don Quixote. He felt a kinship with Cervantes’ famous character. Don Quixote was a man who espoused ideals that were not only outdated, but probably never really existed.

He was the same. He strived to be noble and stand up for the things he believed in. It was often at odds with the way reality worked, which always left him a little sad, lamenting the state of things.

Like Alonso Quejano, his head was filled with made up stories, but don’t we tell stories of greatness to remind ourselves that we can be great?
