The two children tugged on the toy with pintsized might.

“It’s my turn!” one screamed.

“No! You just got it!” the other responded.

They two broke off their cries, but neither released the toy, as their mother entered the room with footsteps like thunder.

“What’s going on here?” she demanded.

“It’s my turn mommy!” one insisted.

“No, it’s not. You had it last time!” the other countered.

Their mother sighed, “Every day this week I’ve had to resolve this issue. If you can’t learn to share, neither of you can have it.”
