100 Words a Day 920

The men were forced to crane their necks to see the top of the wall. No one emerged from the alien structure during their obvious approach and they were confident it was abandoned. Whatever manner of beings had inhabited the pentagonal building must have been massive. Through the door they could see a hallway running in either direction, presumably the whole length of the structure and that the walls seemed to emit light.
