100 Words a Day 935

The light over the door turned bright green and everyone took their helmets off, sighing in relief.

“Shit, it’s cold out,” Alexis said. His breath was still visible in the warming room.

“I’ll say,” Janette agreed, rubbing her arms after removing her cold weather suit.

As each person finished divesting of the outer shell of their suit, they immediately found a hot cup of coffee. The smell of the standard-issue brew quickly permeated the small building.

Chris grimaced after his first big gulp, “God this coffee is awful.”

“Beats freezing your dick off,” Kelly said.


“Yeah, but not by much.”
