100 Words a Day 960

A bump rocked the sub. It sent anything not nailed down clattering to the floor and a dull thud through the interior.

“What the hell was that?” Jason exclaimed.

“I don’t know,” Kasey responded, peering through the porthole. Outside was only blackness.

“Did we hit something?”

“I can’t see anything. There was nothing on the sonar,” Kasey said.

The radio crackled to life. “You guys alright down there?”

Kasey picked up mic. “I don’t know; something just rocked us. You guys see anything on the screen?”

“Negative.”

Kasey turned to Jason, “Maybe we should power up and take a look.”
